School System and technologies
Infusing a school with technology can be a transforming experience as it has the potential to change almost every aspect of school operations, and much of teaching and learning. Most of today’s schools are yesterday schools built for purposes and contexts disappearing or gone. Schools must change in basic ways to perform effectively not only in the present but also in the future and integrating technologies into school systems is key to their becoming more flexible and adaptable, better able to deal with increasing complexity. Applications of technology in practice are closely related to key indicators, and measures for technology integration in the school setting. Three key questions deal with the incorporation of technology into teaching and learning standards, into student assessment, and into evaluations of instructional and administrative staff. The process of technology integration is the incorporation of technology resources and technology-based practices into the daily routines, work, and management of schools and it is one of continuous change, learning, and improvement.
